Nike x Offspring have linked up to deliver Volume 3 of the ‘Please Read First’ zine series - commemorating Air Max Day. This year’s zine is centred around '‘Fresh Air’’ - to celebrate Air Maxes 35 year history, while prioritising wellness and self-care within the sneaker community. Playfully titled ‘‘Please Breathe First’’ for 2022, this years zine includes stories of the Air Maxes history and heritage, thoughts on the future of sneaker culture from the Offspring Community, and interactive activities and exercises centred around Nike’s game-changing Air Max technology - and getting fresh air.
As lead copywriter, I wrote the intro text, delivered playful headlines centred around ‘‘Air’’ and sneaker culture, wrote up the bios for all the Air Max models from 1 to VaporMax, sub-edited the Community entries and wrote the text for the interactive parts of the zine. These deliverables ultimately shaped the zine’s overall TOV. Click any of the images to read/download the zine in full.
