Nike x Offspring ‘‘Please Read First 2.0’’ Zine

For the second year running, Offspring and Nike have linked up to deliver Volume 2 of the ‘Please Read First’ zine series - commemorating Air Max Day. The zine includes stories of the Air Maxes history and heritage, thoughts on the future of sneaker culture from the Offspring Community fun games centred around Nike’s game-changing Air Max technology. As lead copywriter, I wrote the intro text, wrote up the model bios for Air Max 1, 90, 95 and 97, sub-edited the Community entries, designed the quiz & crossword, shaping the zine’s overall TOV. Being a Swoosh enthusiast and sneakerhead, delving into the archives behind arguably Nike’s most important innovation was a whole lot of fun.
