Earlier this year, for music publication Nation of Billions, I sat down with Alt-RNB rising star Tay Iwar to discuss music, life, creativity and how a surprise phone call led to a feature on WizKid’s acclaimed 2020 album ‘‘Made In Lagos’’ - the feature that has regularly been listed as the albums best. On an album littered with global megastars, it was the bright, rhythmic delivery from the Soulection signee that inspired more than 7 million streams worldwide. In our conversation, we cover how this self-confessed music nerd drove into the root of his passion, to take his message and sound to the masses.
